Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery at Kampala International University

Dream job

My dream job is to become a paediatric neurosurgeon. I am aware of the scarcity my society have in the health profession, particularly in health specialists across the country. My objective is to be among the best medical doctors produced in Tanzania and to help make a difference in my society. I want to improve health services to every member of my society regardless of their status and I will do that with a maximum of my capacity.

Interests

I have many interests including reading books and watching and playing football. I am also a leader of a medical association at my university and at national level. This means that I devote most of my time on arranging social programmes, debates, scientific conferences, education- and medical trainings and sports- and entertainment events.

Background

I am 23 years old from a family of seven children; I’m the fourth child to my mother and the first to my father. I grew up in Tanga City with my family until my parents separated in 2012. Three of my sisters are married and my older brother disappeared. My younger sister is still studying and my young brother is studying religion issues. I got admitted to Kampala International University where I’m a third year medical student doing a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery.
