BACKGROUND
Growing up as the child of small-scale farmers, our family faced financial challenges, leading to attendance at government schools due to affordability issues. Despite struggles, I managed to contribute to school fees through work on farms, highlighting the persistent effort to access education.
WHY
I grew up in the village where people still use bad farming methods like monoculture and deforestation which increases soil erosion. I chose agriculture as my field of study to get knowledge and skills on how to use good farming techniques like zero grazing and agroforestry to conserve the environment. And also to get knowledge and skills on how to improve breeds of animals like cows by cross breeding. My dream job is to be an agricultural extension officer, promoting practices like agroforestry and mixed farming. I aspire to become the Minister for Agriculture, Livestock, and Fisheries, advocating nationwide for advanced farming techniques and seeking government incentives for high-yield dairy cattle breeds.
INTERESTS
As an Agriculturalist, i do tree nursery beds so am always doing practices like weeding and watering them I want to promote the environment conservation by encouraging the people to grow trees through teaching the people about the uses of the trees in the environment as they absorb toxic gases like carbon dioxide, it prevents global warming. I want also to emphasize the use of zero grazing system where small piece of land cater for many animals, as another piece of land is reserved for other uses like cultivation which leads to diversification which increases the income from both enterprises.
