BACKGROUND
I come from a family of 8, with my father, stepmother, and 6 siblings. Both parents are peasants, relying on a small farm for income. Our mud house has four rooms. My education began in a government primary school, and I progressed through government schools with fee contributions based on academic performance. Currently, a student at Mbarara University pursuing a Bachelor's in Computer Science, I rely on the Help to Help program for support, reducing financial stress and helping me focus on academic success.
WHY
I chose computer science due to my fascination with technology's transformative potential. Beyond coding, it's about problem-solving, creativity, and innovation. The field's adaptability, endless possibilities, and societal impact motivate me. My passion for technology and the desire to be at the forefront of innovation led me to this field. I'm excited to contribute to the evolving landscape of technology. As a computer science student, my dream job is to be a Senior Software Engineer, leading cutting-edge projects that solve complex problems and positively impact society, creating a lasting legacy in technology.
INTERESTS
Creative Pursuits: "Outside of my studies, I enjoy writing short stories and dabbling in graphic design. It's a refreshing outlet for me to express my creativity and explore new ideas beyond the confines of coding." Physical Activities: "I like jogging though not not very good at fast running and enjoy hitting the trails on weekends. Running not only keeps me physically fit but also helps clear my mind and recharge after long hours of coding." Volunteering and Community Engagement: "I volunteer at a local animal shelter on weekends. It's incredibly rewarding to give back to the community and make a positive impact on the lives of animals in need." Personal and project Development: "I'm currently learning to play a key board as a personal development goal. It's a challenging yet rewarding endeavor that helps me unwind and stay balanced amidst the demands of my studies. I also started a small fruit selling project which helps me to some of my needs, I do it during my free time or weekend after coding for some time."
