BACKGROUND
I'm the sixth of eight children—two girls and six boys—and my mother passed away from cancer in 2023, leaving my father as our sole parent. My older siblings are married but struggle financially, so we rely entirely on subsistence farming.
MY CHOICE OF STUDIES
I chose this field for a couple of reasons. Job security is a big factor; agriculture is an essential industry with a stable job market. The diverse career paths available, from farming to research and education, also appealed to me. Agricultural officer
It is a profession responsible for promoting and supporting agriculture development in a specific region.
Their primary goal is to improve agriculture productivity and food security and livelihoods of farmers.
INTERESTS
I like participating in farm work such as planting, weeding, animal care and milking. Crop and animal improvement to produce better breeds .
