I dream of becoming an Agricultural Development Specialist, empowering rural communities with innovative, climate-resilient farming practices.
I dream of becoming an Agricultural Development Specialist, empowering rural communities with innovative, climate-resilient farming practices.
BACKGROUND
I come from a humble agricultural background. My mother, a dedicated cereal crop grower, has been the pillar of our family. Despite the challenges we faced after my father's disappearance, my mother's hard work and resilience have been a constant source of inspiration.
MY CHOICE OF STUDIES
I chose this field of study to gain the skills necessary to become an effective extension worker. I want to educate my community about modern farming methods, like zero grazing, to help boost their household incomes. Growing up in a family of subsistence farmers who primarily grow cereal crops, I was driven to pursue a science that would equip me with modern solutions to our challenges. My dream job is to become an Agricultural Development Specialist, working with international organizations, governments, or NGOs to design and implement sustainable agricultural programs that improve livelihoods and food security for rural communities. I envision myself working closely with farmers, communities, and stakeholders to develop and promote innovative, climate-resilient agricultural practices that enhance productivity, income, and environmental sustainability.
INTERESTS
My passion lies in sustainable agriculture, rural development, and community empowerment. I'm fascinated by the intersection of agriculture, livelihoods, and environmental conservation. In my free time, I enjoy learning about innovative farming practices, reading about agricultural policy and development, and exploring ways to promote sustainable livelihoods in rural communities.
