BACKGROUND
My name is Amos Stephano Jackson and I was born on May the fifth in 1997, in the Ukerewe-Mwanza region. Our families consist seven children, and I am the fourth born in my family. My parents are separated, and my father lives with another wife since 2000. I started primary school in 2006 at Murubumba primary school in Ukerewe Mwanza region, and completed in 2012. In 2013, I started my secondary school at Buhongwa secondary school in Mwanza region, and completed in 2006. In 2019 I was selected to join Mbeya University of science and technology-Rukwa as a mechanical engineering taker.
WHY
I am choosing this field of studies because mechanical engineering has a lot of opportunities - for example casting, forging and metal fabrication, which makes it easy for me to employ myself. With my knowledge within mechanical engineering, I am planning to open a small workshop and small garages for maintenance and repairing of vehicles. Also, through mechanical engineering, it is easy to escape from poverty, since it is easy to produce machines like de-watering pumps used for small irrigation. My dream jobs are firstly to become a super engineer and solve problems facing our society; for example, the lack of professional teachers in our university within the engineering area. Moreover, I want to open a small mechanical workshop for performing small metal works such as fabrication grill for doors and windows. I also want to open a small garage for maintenance and repair of motorcycle and de-watering pumps.
INTERESTS
My interest beside of studies are firstly to be a super business man, and also to be a designer, and for example draw or sketch the maps to different buildings. I also like to play football.
