BACKGROUND
I was born in 1992 at Rombo Distrist in Kilimanjaro region. I am the second child of Mr and Mrs Vitalis who have nine children. I have five sisters and three brothers who share the same mother and father. We are a peasant family, which means that my family depends on agricultural activities as we are doing some small scale cultivation. I am a well-disciplined girl who is creative, kind and trustworthy. I like to be advised and to advice others when necessary. I have the ability of working hard without depending on external influences. I do however like to interact with different people for sharing of positive ideas. During my earlier education I was a leader figure who was very good in sports. The reason I decided to study a Bachelor of Agricultural Engineering is because I want to improve agriculture in Tanzania by developing new tools and machines to use in for example irrigation systems. I also want to help educate peasants in Tanzania about science and new technologies they can use in order to raise their financial situation. Since we are many children in our family and my parent’s income is very small it was always a challenge for me to pay the school fees. Many times I risked not being able to sit the exams. In my spare time I like gaining extra knowledge especially in fields related to my course. I also try to acquire Internet skill. In my university holidays I like to join in field studies.
WHY Engineering & Natural Science
I dream of establishing an large plantation and an international market for agricultural products. I would also like to design irrigation systems.
INTERESTS
In my spare time I like to gain knowledge related to my course such as internet skills. I also like doing athletics and playing netball.
