BACKGROUND
I was born in a polygamous family of three wives and eighteen children; ten boys and eight girls. My father is 73 years old and is a peasant and my mother is 59 years old and is a housewife. I began my primary school from Ruyanga Primary School and scored 13 aggregates in the PLE. I was given a full bursary for my O'level at Kyezimbire Secondary School where I scored 27 aggregates in best 8 in UCE. The Master Card Foundation at Scholars Program at BRAC Uganda helped to pay for my A'level and I scored 16 points in BCM/ICT. I was admitted at Mbarara University for the Bachelor of Pharmacy where a family friend has been paying tuition for me.
WHY Medicine & Health
My passion is educating people about the effects and dangers of drug abuse on their health following the drug misuse and abuse I saw in the community I come from. I am also passionate to provide drug accessory services for example drug shops and pharmacies to the people in my community to solve the problem of drug inaccessibility. I want to be a pharmacist who not only dispenses medicine but is also a knowledgeable drug expert and a persuasive communicator in order to provide drug therapy and achieve definite outcomes to improve or maintain a patient's quality of life. I also want to provide healthy education to people and share responsibilities with other health care professionals.
INTERESTS
I like being involved in community engagement activities, leadership activities, playing football and touring new places.

I'm currently doing my internship at Kiruddu National referral hospital, which will end by April 2023. The Help to Help scholarship made my dreams of becoming a pharmacist a reality, and I look forward to make as much impact as possible in order to change the community and my country through health service provision and education. I will achieve positive changes in my community extending a hand of help to fellow disadvantaged, by providing education, and by building pharmacies to enable access to drugs.
