BACKGROUND
I am Ssegujja Ashiraf a second year student of Dental surgery Makerere University Uganda. My home district is Masaka though currently living in kampala. I come from a family of 6 where am the first born, I have two brothers one of which dropped out of school due to financial reasons and one sister. For years now our family has been struggling to earn a living and trying to make ends meet. I am looking forward to becoming an Oral Maxilo Facial Surgeon one day in future after completing my degree. This will put me in a place where I will be able to make a fine addition towards the health sector in Uganda and also reach out to the many people and also give back and help out all my siblings.
WHY Medicine & Health

I like swimming, watching football, Sharing and interacting with others, listening to music (Jazz, Country), I like doing research work, Reading newly published medical literature, I like being part of focused groups as am a team player and lastly I enjoy seeing people getting better after treatment just like any other medical person.
