BACKGROUND
I grew-up in a family whereby my parents education just ended at elementary level, despite that situation I was not denied my right to education. I never went to kindergarten level, but before I joined elementary school , my parents and other members of the family helped me to get awareness on issues like counting numbers and spellings. After several years I was qualified to join ordinary level and later to advanced level. My parents were able to finance my studies through farming activities they undertook, and through the help of my former benefactor.
WHY
I chose my field of study because it is the field that is currently growing fast. But also it is the field that touches all disciplines at large such as medicine, business and law. Through information and communication technology work has been simplified and its efficiency has increased to a big extent. My dream job is to become a community development person who can bring a positive impact in my society. I am planning to achieve that by using the knowledge of computer and technological issues that I get at college to reach youths particularly girls at my society. Therefore through knowledge that I still get at my college and other skills I will be able to reach my dream.
INTERESTS
Beside my studies, I like to engage myself into community based activities. I involve myself into volunteering activities which impacts into youths personal development at a certain non-government based organization. But also I like engaging myself into knowledge impacting to others concerning my field of technology.

Q: How can I trust Ashura Matimu is a real student?

A: Ashura Matimu has applied for a scholarship from Help to Help and was granted one. We have reviewed the written application and conducted a thorough interview with Ashura Matimu . We have also double-checked the given identity with NLab Innovation Academy. We now and then also do home-visits and met with a majority of our students.

Q: If I donate, what happens with my donation?

A: Each semester, Help to Help pay school fees for our students. We reserve the right to only pay school fees for students who live up to the agreed terms and conditions for the scholarship which includes submitting grades in time, good academic perform and continuous communication with Help to Help among other things. The payments are done directly to each university. Once payments are done, we demand the universities to send us official receipts.
