BACKGROUND
I am from a family of six children, in which four are my step siblings. My father is a retired primary school teacher, but abandoned me and my sister. He currently stays with his other wife as my mother passed away in 2002. My education has been mainly funded by various scholarships, until I reached university, where I was being supported by my sister until she lost her job during the lockdown.
WHY
I chose the field of Petroleum Engineering because in my country Uganda, it is a booming industry which is very promising and fun. I also chose this field because I have always wanted to become an engineer, as they really have impacted the society through their great innovations. I would like to contribute to my society by reducing the impacts to the environment, as my chosen field is one which always has had a negative impact on the environment. My dream job would be to become the Chief Executive Officer of total petroleum engineering in the world. I would also like to be the best drilling engineer in the world, where I can create great impact on the industry through my innovations. Later, I would also like to own my personal drilling company.
INTERESTS
In my spare time, I am always at church doing church service. Sometimes I am reading the word of God, and other times I am reading something new just because I love reading a lot and discovering new things. I also love being with friends, as it helps me relieve my mind. Lastly, I am also regularly carrying out a few small errands for people, since they are the ones that provide me with my daily food.

Currently, my plans are to find employment or any financial support opportunities for my masters. Help to Help has enabled me to study and successfully finish my dream course without any worries of tuition, which has enabled me to concentrate on my academics better. I can't thank Help to Help enough, and I'm so grateful. Once I start my career, I know that I will pursue my job not only for earning income, but also for providing service to my community and my country at large. I intend to give back to my community through some engagements, like motivating students through talks and any other opportunities available.

What kind of community outreach activity are you planning to do this semester?

I am planning to go out at to Mbarara Regional Referal hospital and do some cleaning in an attempt to keep my community tidy since the hospital neighbors my school.

What worries you in the world and what can you do to change that?

The level of air pollution especially from automobiles in third world countries.

Firstly strict laws especially against exportation of very old automobiles and also encouraging the use of good petroleum products from standard petrol stations.  Planting more trees and sensitizing people to buy petroleum from petrol stations that are of world standards.
