BACKGROUND
I am Ayubu Paul Kasato from Kigoma, Tanzania. I was born in August 1994 and I am the fourth child from a family of ten children of a monogamy family. My parents are peasants with low income and neither of my siblings is employed. I used to engage in petty business including selling coffee and tea as well as making charcoal to help my studies and contribute to the basic needs at home. The main challenge I face is dealing with the poor economic status of my parents and relatives. I always try to share from what I have. I thank God that Help to Help has brought hope to the future of the needy. I am hard working, creative and cooperative. I am used to study hard with a creative mind which has led me to where I am today. I believe that education is the only pathway to bring a better life to all people.

When the university closed due to spread of COVID-19, I went home. Most of the time I participated in home works including grazing cattle but also I often visited at our dispensary and helped patients whatever was in my capacity. I am looking forward to graduate medical school in 2 months. I get motivated when I see someone happy because I made it happen.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Q: How can I trust Ayubu Kasato is a real student?

A: Ayubu Kasato has applied for a scholarship from Help to Help and was granted one. We have reviewed the written application, interviewed Ayubu Kasato via Skype. We have also double-checked the given identity with Kilimanjaro Christian Medical College. We now and then also do home-visits, and met with a clear majority of our students.

Q: If I donate, what happens with my donation?

A: Each semester, Help to Help pays school fees for our students. We reserve the right to only pay school fees for our students who submit their grades and receipts in time, who perform well in school with at least an avarage grade of B. The payment is done straight to each university. We demand each student to bring the official receipt from the administration office.

Q: Why does each student have their own fundraising profile?

A: We believe in a global "we" - our crowdfunding platform is a way for our students to express what societal issues they want to bring change to, and a way for our funders to learn and join their important causes by donating to their studies.
