BACKGROUND
I was born in 1992 and I grew in Temeke District in Dar es Salaam. I am the last born in a family of seven children. When I was nine years old my father passed away due to diabetes, so I was raised by my mother and my older sister. Unfortunately in 2010 my mother passed away due to HIV/AIDS, which she had been infected by after taking care of my sister. At first we did not know that my sister had been infected by HIV/AIDS but she died in 2008 before my mother died. It was at the same time that I was about to attend my final level examination for the Ordinary Level of secondary school. It was a very big challenge in my life, I felt so lonely without my parents. Thank God I was be able to pass that final examination, and continue to Advanced Level where I performed so well that I was selected to join the university. I am now a student at St. Joseph University of Engineering and Technology pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering. My strength is that I never give up if I fail in my studies or in other things. My weaknesses is that I am stubborn and short tempered. Being an orphan is the biggest challenge but I keep up in my studies because I understand that by doing so I will be able to achieve my goals. I am now living with my older sister who is married and has got three children.
