BACKGROUND
I am the second born in a family of eight people. I have five siblings- two sisters and three brothers. My mother is a peasant farmer and my father is a shoe repairer. We mainly do crop farming to earn a living and support our education.
WHY Social Science & Business
There are many Children in my village who are not attending education because of a lack of funding. I thought it wise that becoming an accountant will help me to raise funds to support their education. My dream job is becoming a professional accountant. This will help me to raise funds to support the education of young people across the world.
INTERESTS
I enjoy touring new places and going for church services.

In the picture, I was laying bricks. Though it seems to be a tiresome and dirty work as well, I chose to do it because it was the only way I was going to get enough money to pay school fees for my little sister who is soon going to do her Primary Leaving Examinations. Together we can become change makers.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Q: How can I trust Babirye Livas is a real student?

A: Babirye Livas has applied for a scholarship from Help to Help and was granted one. We have reviewed the written application, interviewed Babirye Livas via Skype. We have also double-checked the given identity with Mbarara University. We now and then also do home-visits, and met with a clear majority of our students.

Q: If I donate, what happens with my donation?

A: Each semester, Help to Help pays school fees for our students. We reserve the right to only pay school fees for our students who submit their grades and receipts in time, who perform well in school with at least an avarage grade of B. The payment is done straight to each university. We demand each student to bring the official receipt from the administration office.

Q: Why does each student have their own fundraising profile?

A: We believe in a global "we" - our crowdfunding platform is a way for our students to express what societal issues they want to bring change to, and a way for our funders to learn and join their important causes by donating to their studies.

HIGHLIGHTED DONOR

"Starting a fundraiser was a way for me to spread knowledge to my friends about a good organisation that contributes to long-term impact. I am so incredibly impressed by these girls and guys, who despite hardships want and have hope!"
