BACKGROUND
I was born in 1989 at Kyela district in Mbeya Region. I am the third born out of four children in a peasant, single-parent family. My siblings and me were been brought up by our mother alone since my father passed away in 1992 when I was only three years old. I am a hard-working, cooperative and ambitious person. I am helpful and courageous as well as a person with a strong attitude who always accepts constructive criticism.
WHY Engineering & Natural Science
My dream is to become an agricultural engineer who designs irrigation schemes. I also want to get involved in entrepreneurship and to introduce an Aquaponics project in my country so as to control soil born diseases. I have been facing a lot of challenges during my studies including failure to pay the tuition fees in time. Because of this I have not been able to do the exams as per the timetable and sometimes I have not been able to attend the first classes after the opening of a new semester.
INTERESTS
In my spare time I like to read books related to agriculture and entrepreneurship, visit and counsel a women association group and to involve in sports and games especially netball and athletics. I also like baking cakes to sell in the market.

A: Betina Kajela has applied for a scholarship from Help to Help and was granted one. We have reviewed the written application and conducted a thorough interview with Betina Kajela . We reserve the right to only pay school fees for students who live up to the agreed terms and conditions for the scholarship which includes submitting grades in time, good academic perform and continuous communication with Help to Help among other things. The payments are done directly to each university. Once payments are done, we demand the universities to send us official receipts.

A: We believe in a global "we" - our crowdfunding platform is a way for our students to express what societal issues they want to bring change to, and a way for our funders to learn and join their important causes by donating to their studies.
