BACKGROUND
I am the third in the family of 9 children. My dad was a tabacco farmer called Chala D Bosco and my mum is a farmer called Avako Joyce mainly growing potatoes and cassava. I completed Bura primary school and joined London college and St.Mary's Kitende for secondary education.
WHY Medicine & Health
I chose to become a surgeon because the number of surgeons is very low in Uganda. Many patients are not treated and end up dying without help. Others are referred to foreign hospitals that they cannot afford. When I become a surgeon, many patients will be treated. Mortality rates will reduce and the health standards will improve. My dream is to become a surgeon. I will first become a general surgeon and then upgrade in a specific field of a neurosurgeon, a brain surgeon or an amputator.
INTERESTS
I visit friends and check on how they are doing. I also enjoy watching and playing football.

Bob Driwale

April 14, 2022
We organized a community outreach where we did a general cleaning and sensitised people on maintaining a good environment as a primary preventive measure of disease control. We also visited a baby's home and we offered materials like books, pens, pencils and others so as to promote their studies. I also worked as a junior doctor with my senior doctors during my holidays. I learnt a lot from them as we managed patients. In the photo, I was at the entrance of psychiatry ward with my friends. It was our first day at psychiatry rotation and we were so ready to meet our patients.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Q: How can I trust Bob Driwale is a real student?

A: Bob Driwale has applied for a scholarship from Help to Help and was granted one. We have reviewed the written application and conducted a thorough interview with Bob Driwale . We have also double-checked the given identity with Mbarara University. We now and then also do home-visits and met with a majority of our students.

Q: If I donate, what happens with my donation?

A: Each semester, Help to Help pay school fees for our students. We reserve the right to only pay school fees for students who live up to the agreed terms and conditions for the scholarship which includes submitting grades in time, good academic perform and continuous communication with Help to Help among other things. The payments are done directly to each university. Once payments are done, we demand the universities to send us official receipts.

Q: Why does each student have their own fundraising profile?

A: We believe in a global "we" - our crowdfunding platform is a way for our students to express what societal issues they want to bring change to, and a way for our funders to learn and join their important causes by donating to their studies.
