BACKGROUND
I am Christina John Dagili, a first-year student at the University of Dodoma and since 2022 I am pursuing a bachelor's in environmental and disaster management. My family is of low level economically because my parents are engaged in small farm activities, ending with low postharvest or family consumption. My studies from primary to secondary school were tough because I used to work a lot in order to get my school needs like uniforms, exercise books and pens.
WHY
I chose this field of study because ever since I was in primary school I used to experience earthquakes, environmental pollution and mining. These affect human life and cause climate change leading to the eruption of diseases like corona, malaria and cholera. My dream job is to become a disaster manager in any department, especially the geological department or ministry. Also working as an environmental officer.
INTERESTS
I am interested in reading books, praying and worshipping. In my free time, I like to be with other students to avoid loneliness. Lastly, I am interested in social media relating to my carrier for further expending my knowledge.
