BACKGROUND

I am the second born among five siblings. We live with our parents in small house located in the Rukiga district. My previous education was not easy but I thank God for giving me sponsors for both primary, secondary and university so I can pursue a medical course. I used to help my parents with their activities of agriculture like digging, planting and harvesting until now but the land was sold to pay for debts in family education. My mother is a peasant and my father is currently not working after suffering a stroke.

Knowing how to detect disease in patients inspired me because it leads to treatment and good health which leads to happiness in society. I thank my parents in their role for making me realize the vast specialties I can take on after pursuing my course. I believe that through my studies I will be able to help the sick people become aware of their status as well as enabling awareness about new diseases, developing my family and donating money to help others. My dream job is to work as a laboratory personnel in a hospital or a research laboratory. I want to ensure the full analysis of various samples and specimens for detection of abnormalities. I wan to follow and maintain safety protocols and give valid information to clinicians about probable outcomes. I want to collaborate with other members of staff to come up with new innovative techniques for quicker diagnosis and establishment of a better patient-health worker relationship. Lastly I want to perform quality control and quality assurance for all equipment to increase good results and working conditions.

INTERESTS

I like to engage in developmental conversations like spirituality and personal reflections with my friends. I also like football and challenging myself.
