BACKGROUND
I am the last born to a humble family of 3 siblings. I reside in my traditional home in Buliisa district, with one of my parents who used to do fishing. I am the most educated among all, currently under a bachelor's degree that I undertook after my high school. Through out my education I studied in government schools.
WHY
First and foremost, Buliisa, my district depends on cassava, kalo and fishing. This has greatly reduced the fish stocks in the aquatic ecosystem and serious exhaustion of soil resources. I gained passion on how to bring about other crops in production for the sustainability of livelihood and restore the degraded soils limited to cassava production. The option for me was therefor to take up the agricultural field of education. I would like to be a director at my own farm, with over 200 heads of cattle and a viable plantation. This will offer employment opportunities to others as managers, accountants, marketers, among others.
INTERESTS
I do fishing most of the time with my father, given the fact that I grew from a landing site, so I find it as a hobby. I also like soccer and some times organise for friends to play.

This semester, we conducted a community outreach in a village Mbarara city, where I engaged in community cleaning by collecting all the rubbish in water trenches, open places that were not dump sites, as well took the rubbish to garbage sites from where we burnt it. After we placed posters urging residents not to dump rubbish if everywhere around the village. This greatly improved on the sanitation around the village. Here I was at a farm in Mbarara, Uganda during my recess term, incorporating new banana plants in the banana main field.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Q: How can I trust Divas Ayesiga is a real student?

A: Divas Ayesiga has applied for a scholarship from Help to Help and was granted one. We have reviewed the written application and conducted a thorough interview with Divas Ayesiga . We have also double-checked the given identity with Mbarara University. We now and then also do home-visits and met with a majority of our students.

Q: If I donate, what happens with my donation?

A: Each semester, Help to Help pay school fees for our students. We reserve the right to only pay school fees for students who live up to the agreed terms and conditions for the scholarship which includes submitting grades in time, good academic perform and continuous communication with Help to Help among other things. The payments are done directly to each university. Once payments are done, we demand the universities to send us official receipts.

Q: Why does each student have their own fundraising profile?

A: We believe in a global "we" - our crowdfunding platform is a way for our students to express what societal issues they want to bring change to, and a way for our funders to learn and join their important causes by donating to their studies.
