BACKGROUND
I am from a family of four children. I grew up with my grand parents up to the age of 6 years. When I made six years, I started living with my parents, they were not married so I would see my dad once a month or approximately 6 times a year. Time came and we stopped seeing our dad and he actually got another family. My dad is a builder and my mother is a peasant, rearing 3-4 cows from which she has been able to support four of us. My mother and my grand father supported me through my studies that's primary education to secondary education. In my senior five, my grand father passed away and my mother had to help me complete my studies. After my senior six, my elder sister decided to go to Oman to work as a maid so that she can support our family and that's how I was able to join University. Unfortunately, she developed diabetes mellitus and so she could not continue working from Oman. She was sent back to Uganda. Her and my mother have tried rearing cattle but still they can't raise my university tuition and then support my other siblings.
WHY
Well, I was inspired to become a physiotherapist the day my grand father got involved in a road accident and he became paralysed both low and upper limbs. I could see physiotherapists help my grand father gain mobility and through movement and exercise but could not afford to pay them for their work for long so my grand father still need help but I didn't know much. From that time, I wanted to become a physiotherapist so that I can be able to help people affected by injury, illness or disability in my community through movement and exercise, manual therapy, education and advice. My dream job is to become a good Physiotherapist who help people affected by injury, illness or disability through movements and exercise, manual therapy, education and advice. To maintain health of people of all ages, helping patients to manage pain and prevent diseases.
INTERESTS
I would like to visit patients in hospitals, rehabilitation centres and do community work. Such as cleaning, helping the elderly and counselling the youth, especially the girls. Some sports like volleyball and football.

As a changemaker, I conducted a community outreach outside the university, we did general cleaning of the community which included sweeping, burning rubbish, draining trenches. This improved the sanitation of the community and we also encouraged people in the community to keep good hygiene for better health. Here I was from doing a practical session about neural anatomy from the cadaver room.
