BACKGROUND
We are 8 siblings at home and i hold the 7th position. My parents are subsistence farmers who own a small plot of land which we cultivate to meet some family needs. Me and my siblings went to government aided schools for our primary and secondary education and i am the only one who went to a private school for high school education.
WHY
I chose agriculture because i like farming and i love animals. Secondly, i wish to collaborate with the local farmers ,discuss with them to identify their challenges and look for the possible solution for them. I also wish to transform subsistence agriculture to commercial agriculture for the local farmers to earn more income and improve on their standards of living. A Botanist dealing in plant physiology and classification. A Pathologist dealing in classification and study of pests and how to control them sustainably. An agricultural extension worker.
INTERESTS
I would like to take part in agricultural inputs business where i can acquire more knowledge on how to to raise healthy crops and various mechanisms of pest and weed control. I would also like to rear poultry like chicken and rabbits.
