BACKGROUND
My name is Elizabeth A. Mtei and I am 23 years old. I am a Tanzanian and my hometown is Arusha. I am a student at St. Joseph College of Agricultural Science and Technology taking a Bachelor of Food Process Engineering. Presently, I live with my aunt. My parents are divorced and my father has another family of 5 children. We do not earn much for a living due to low income. The challenges that I have had in my life is that am not getting enough money to allow my studies to proceed well, and this made me search for various ways so as I can reach my goals and succession for the better future. I believe without education and knowledge life is a lot worse. Generally I wish all people could get educated to improve their lives. As a person I am generous, co-operative, hardworking and I like interacting with different people with different perspectives. This enables me to learn new things.
WHY Engineering & Natural Science
The reason I choose my line of studying is because I hope to be an activist to bring changes to the health of the community. By example Tanzanian children in many areas are affected by malnutrition, which is due to ignorance and other relevant factors. My dream job is being a nutritionist and I hope to bring health changes in the community.
INTERESTS
During my spare time, I like involving myself in health issues which includes fitness and reading books about diets and nutrition. I also check out fashion and beauty trends.
