BACKGROUND
My name is Epister Michael Ally, a second year student at Tumaini University Makumira pursuing a Bachelor of Arts within the Education field. I am 24 years old and I was born in the Morogoro region of Matombo. After completing grade seven in 2011 my sister died, and she was the one responsible for my school fees. In 2012 I wad taken away after two months by a person who wanted a house maid. I lived with parish sisters and had to repeat my grade four studies after getting bad results in 2014. I got a sponsorship to go to Italy to study after I passed my ordinary level exams, and at an advanced level I received sponsorship of my school teacher, Mr Peter Charles. He died from brain cancer, but in 2016 I received money from my aunt which enabled me to continue my studies at university level.
WHY Education
I decided to pursue my dream of becoming a teacher because I like teaching and wish to contribute to society through providing awareness of the importance of education of society at large and girls in particular.
INTERESTS
My greatest interests are to sing catholic chorals in the choir and to engage in student clubs such as the Tumaini University Makumira Geography Association.
