BACKGROUND
My name is Florence Komba, and I am a second born among five children in my family. I live with my mother and father, and four relatives from mother's side, making us a total of eleven in the family. My mother is a fruit seller and my father is unfortunately unable to work as he has an injury. I have studied at Kituro primary school, Beroya secondary school and Lugoba high school in form five and six. Now, I am studying at the Bulongwa Health Science Institute for my diploma in clinical dentistry.
WHY
I have chosen the field of clinical dentistry in order to help the community and those who suffers from oral diseases. In many areas of our country, there is shortage of health facilities which makes it difficult to get health devices easily. Hence, through my education level and the health skills I will gain, I can help to decrease the amount of oral diseases and other health conditions. My dream is to reach masters level of clinical dentistry, and then I want to build a hospital, where I can assist the community on how to prevent oral disease, since large number of people are suffering from that type of disease. Hence, through the knowledge I will gain, I will be able to assist them.
INTERESTS
Apart from studying, I am interested in agriculture and stock-keeping, since lack of food is a big problem in the community. Also, stock-keeping helps to increase the of income for my family.
