BACKGROUND
My younger sister and I were born to Mr Eobu Bernard and Miss Susan. After three years my parents separated and we were taken to stay with grandmother. My stepmother is a peasant and my father is a driver. He does small scale business and is also a farmer. My sister is doing a certificate in nursing. I have three step siblings in primary and one is a preschooler. I studied primary school near home. I was sponsored by Forum for African Women Educationalists, Uganda (FAWEU) up to secondary and joined advanced level to get to the university.
WHY Medicine & Health
I have a passion for humanity and good health. I love to help others, sacrifice myself to support people with what I have, which is what nurses do. We offer care and use our knowledge to make sure patients achieve their health goals. I also have a passion for families, and as nurses, we don't stop at managing disease conditions but we also reach out to families to offer care their wellbeing. I dream to work at a big hospital as a Senior Nursing Officer and midwife whose roles are to lead, manage, supervise, promote and collaborate with members of the health care team to ensure quality services are delivered. I also dream to be the Chief Executive Officer of my own organization that reaches out to help the oppressed and needy in society and to offer compassion to orphans and disabled children.
INTERESTS
I love singing, reading and watching inspirational literature and charting with friends. I also love sports like skipping and jogging.
