BACKGROUND
I am the second born in a family of ten children. I grew up with my mother in Busowoko village Butagaya sub-county in Jinja district. My family is a humble one and God fearing. There is love shared among the members of the family. I went to Gertrude academy primary school and later joined Iganga secondary school for my secondary education. I was previously sponsored by the Brac scholarship program at master-card foundation, unfortunately I did not get the MasterCard scholarship at university. I thank God so much for the Help to Help scholarship program. You have given me a future!

In the next six months, I plan to do an online certificate course in strategic management so that I can boost my career as a software project manager, and gain some more professional skills. Help to Help is the reason to why I am now a software engineer professional. Me and my family could not afford the tuition at Makerere University, and there was no possibility for my university studies to continue. Therefore, I am so grateful for the given opportunity to study in one of the best universities in Africa, and the social impact activities by Help to Help. It is so fulfilling to witness my dreams come true, the scholarship has challenged me to help fellow females to realise their potential and enable them make their dreams a reality. It is my mission to help young females to start small businesses, and coach them on business management skills, and vocational skills like catering and baking, so that they can be able to afford a decent life. I will start with at least five girls this year, and then I can slowly progress into a large number. My goal will be to have a positive impact on at least fifty girls.
