BACKGROUND
I’m Hosana Komba. I come from a family of five children, where I'm the youngest. My parents are peasants. I lived with my family until I was 16. I assisted my parents with the farming activities until I left to study on the secondary level.
WHY Education
My dream is to become a lecturer and through my level of education and job, I will be able to write different history books that can be used in primary and secondary schools. The books will aim to help the students to know the past history and modern history of the world. Also, I will be able to convince parents to send girls to school to promote gender equality in society.
INTERESTS
Entrepreneurship, especially vegetables and animal keeping.

FREQUANTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Q: How can I trust Hosana is a real student?

A: Hosana has applied for a scholarship from Help to Help and was granted one. We have reviewed the written application, interviewed Hosana via Skype. We have also double-checked the given identity with University of Dar es Salaam. We now and then also do home-visits, and met with a clear majority of our students.

Q: If I donate, what happens with my donation?

A: Each semester, Help to Help pays school fees for our students. We reserve the right to only pay school fees for our students who submit their grades and receipts in time, who perform well in school with at least an avarage grade of B. The payment is done straight to each university. We demand each student to bring the official receipt from the administration office.

Q: Why do each student has their own fundraising profile?

A: We believe in a global "we" - our crowdfunding platform is a way for our students to express what societal issues they want to bring change to, and a way for our funders to learn and join their important causes by donating to their studies.
