BACKGROUND
I am born to a family of 5 with currently the highest level of education at a bachelors level. My father was a peasant farmer and my mother a housewife whose only capacity was to provide the home with food and some clothing. My home district is in Hoima and my birthplace is Kiryatete East. I was able to study on bursary in my high school, which gave me inspiration while growing up.
WHY Medicine & Health
I lost my elder brother due to an illness because we couldn’t get the best treatment for him. Also seeing people in my village suffering with various diseases was enough to give me determination and courage to hope to become an agent of change in peoples’ lives. I would like to become the CEO of a logistics company responsible for the supply of medical equipment to health facilities in different African countries. I also want to set up an NGO responsible for offering help to needy village students who can't attend school.
INTERESTS
I spend my time studying the word of God diligently. I am also interested in research, adventure seeking and traveling.

In the next six months, I will continue with my internship. Help to Help has encouraged me to believe in myself, and to believe that opportunities do exist if one is willing to search for them. It has also enabled me to understand the value of interacting and networking with different people. And, it has taught me to always know that I have a lot of potential embedded in me, and that I can be anything I desire in this world. With my education, I hope to work for extended healthcare services to the less privileged in the community. I believe that I will be able to cooperate with different charity organizations and health organizations in order to offer free medical services through medical camps. This will improve the health of individuals.

Currently, I am conducting a 90 days project regarding Eye health and the prevention of avoidable blindness. So far we have done 10 days of the campaign, and in this campaign, we talk about several conditions which can cause blindness and how they can be prevented. I am working with a team of 5 other individuals and the project will run till August. We will be pinning posters about blindness and going over the radio and TV stations to promote eye health awareness.

What worries me is poverty. I find poverty a very detrimental aspect and hindrance in the development of the world. Several individuals and families cant progress to achieving anything because of poverty. I would want to try my best and see that the chain of poverty is broken. I hope to set up some projects that will promote uptake of individuals for employment as well as creating production of commodities to be utilised in the community.

I would think of setting up projects like demonstration farms. These would not only be used to provide employment opportunities to community individuals but also act as food supply sources. In the end we will be dealing with un employment and hunger. Hitting two birds with one stone. The farms can be multidimensional with both livestock and agriculture.  I am planning to save some money that I will use to purchase some land. This land can then be gazzeted and developed by construction of several houses and livestock paddocks. The land can then be used for cultivation and livestock keeping.
