BACKGROUND
Raised by a single mother since my father's disappearance in 2012, I am the eldest of six. Overcoming financial hurdles, I completed primary school in 2015 and secured church support to finish secondary education in 2022. Starting my agriculture and livelihoods degree at Mbarara University in September 2023, I persevere despite financial constraints.
WHY
I chose agricultural studies to empower my community heavily dependent on agriculture. By gaining expertise, I aim to introduce new methods, diversify income, and educate on environmental conservation. The practical nature allows for self-employment, and I aspire to establish a demonstration farm for reference and employment in the community. My dream job is to be an Agricultural Extension Worker. In this role, I aim to educate and equip the community with sustainable farming practices, new crop varieties, and lobby for government support to ensure food security and increase income for farmers.
INTERESTS
My main interest is community service where by in most occasions when am in the village, I join other community members in clearing village roads, water sources, garbage collection and of recent, I have started educating community members on the better farming methods they can adopt to improve their crop yields like crop rotation, zero grazing and application of manure. In addition, am also interested in doing charitable works especially to the needy people like the elderly who nolonger have the energy to attend to their own fields thus on some occasions, I spend time helping them in their gardens so as to enable them get food to sustain themselves. Besides, am also interested in sports especially football because it's a source of joy, promotes good health and most importantly it gives me a chance to meet and interact with my fellow youths whereby I share with them on the ways they can use to live positive lives like avoiding peer groups and prioritizing their studies. I'm also interested in reading literature and this is because books are a source of knowledge and solutions to the problems facing people in different fields like agriculture, health and technology. Through reading I have been able to draw motivation that has kept me moving especially from various books I have read like "Tough Times Never Last But Tough People Do" by Robert Harold.

A: JOSHUA HABASA has applied for a scholarship from Help to Help and was granted one. We have reviewed the written application and conducted a thorough interview with JOSHUA HABASA . We reserve the right to only pay school fees for students who live up to the agreed terms and conditions for the scholarship which includes submitting grades in time, good academic perform and continuous communication with Help to Help among other things. The payments are done directly to each university. Once payments are done, we demand the universities to send us official receipts.

Q: Why does each student have their own fundraising profile?

A: We believe in a global "we" - our crowdfunding platform is a way for our students to express what societal issues they want to bring change to, and a way for our funders to learn and join their important causes by donating to their studies.
