BACKGROUND
I come from a humble background, being the fifth-born in a family of eight, with a set of twin brothers in which I am the elder twin. I was raised by a single mother, having lost my father at the age of three. My mother is a primary seven graduate, and only depends on her peasantry works to support the family. I attended a government day care primary school ,and later joined a church/government aided school for my ordinary level. After that, I went to a muslim, government aided school, for my advanced level of education.
WHY
As the emerging oil and gas industry in Uganda has established as a result of the discovery of oil in the country, the sector has a demand of employees and field experts, which is why I have decided to chose this very field. My dream job is to become a reservoir engineer. Uganda is a third world country according to world bank statistics, but it is blessed with a natural mineral resource called oil. The emerging oil industry in Uganda has little or few local experts and relies more on foreign labor, and the local citizens only provide cheap and unskilled labor. My job is targeted to bridge that gap.
INTERESTS
Besides my studies, I am a retractor, and in rotary we believe in service above self, volunteering, changing lives and making your community a better place. I like leadership and I have tried to practice my leadership skills in many areas around the university; one as a vice president, and currently I am the president of society of petroleum engineers in Kyambogo chapter. I have also been a membership director and now projects director, as well as being in a retract club of Kyambogo university. I also served as a secretary general in the debate society of Kyambogo university. I like reading books, discovering and learning new things every day, playing football and volleyball, and also playing indoor games like chess, cards, and puzzles.
