BACKGROUND
I grew up in a family of two children me being the first born. Our parents have been raising us in a God fearing manner whilst striving to provide for us. My father is currently a retired man and my mother is a poultry keeper. I did my primary and secondary education in public schools, my mother and uncle being the ones who paid my school fees. I'm currently studying at The University of Dodoma which is a public university.
WHY
Finding a way to incorporate both biology and technology is what made me choose Biotechnology and Bioinformatics as my field of study. Moreover the idea is to use my education to help my community to grow, that is what drives me the most. The field of biotechnology has promising chances to bring changes in our community, from solving agricultural, environmental to medical challenges. In 2019 I started a project named Epharma, a Bioinformatics study that deals with collection, analysing and interpretation of medical data, that is vital for the implementation of the project. My dream job is to become a research analyst. I have a dream of making people's lives better through research and thus I'm taking Biotechnology an interdisciplinary field that combines the science of biology with engineering and technology. Microbiology, biochemistry, molecular biology and genetics are some of the areas that my researches will be conducted. All these just to develop products and techniques through the use of living systems and organisms.
INTERESTS
I am a digitally empowered girl! Since I was young, I developed an overwhelming enthusiasm in biology and technology particularly coding, robotics and programming. At this moment I see myself perfectly fit in the world of STEM since I enjoy being around computers and I have been able to develop few web-based systems by myself but also teach other young girls how to code. Personally, I am a self-composed person with an uncontrollable sense of laughter. I enjoy creating content, reading books and I watch movies with an ‘added attention’ – not just for the mere requirement to have fun, but to pay attention to the movie details.

In the first semester of the upcoming academic year, I plan on attending many virtual webinars and physical seminars on bioinformatics, as it is a new subject to be taught in our country and there are many things to be discussed concerning the subject related to my degree program. I hope attending these webinars will equip me with the necessary knowledge and capability to stand out in the job market and my career as a whole.

As a class representative of my class I used my basic computer and programming skills to give a hands on training on basic computer skills to my fellow classmates who used to find it difficult to handle digitization in academics like doing computerized assignments. It was a delightful experience as I also learnt a lot from them. In the last two pictures, I was studying a bacterial sample in the laboratory with my friends at the research laboratory and in the first and second picture I was outside our classes and decided to take memorial snaps.

Q: How can I trust Julieth Sewava is a real student?

A: Julieth Sewava has applied for a scholarship from Help to Help and was granted one. We have reviewed the written application and conducted a thorough interview with Julieth Sewava . We have also double-checked the given identity with University of Dodoma. We now and then also do home-visits and met with a majority of our students.

Q: If I donate, what happens with my donation?

A: Each semester, Help to Help pay school fees for our students. We reserve the right to only pay school fees for students who live up to the agreed terms and conditions for the scholarship which includes submitting grades in time, good academic perform and continuous communication with Help to Help among other things. The payments are done directly to each university. Once payments are done, we demand the universities to send us official receipts.

Q: Why does each student have their own fundraising profile?

A: We believe in a global "we" - our crowdfunding platform is a way for our students to express what societal issues they want to bring change to, and a way for our funders to learn and join their important causes by donating to their studies.
