BACKGROUND
I am from a single parented family with four brothers (including me) and four sisters. I am the eldest of them and I mostly live with my uncle. My father is the normal peasant while my mother is a tailor. I went to six primary schools, all of them in Kilimanjaro and Shinyanga regions, then I joined Kishimba secondary school in Kahama - Shinyanga. Before joining this university I went to Sanya Juu High School for Advanced secondary studies.
WHY
I made a choice in this field because it was my childhood dream. When I was young I used to make models of various things, such as vehicles and buildings, hence it led to my interest in designing. I was also inspired by some of architects to join this field of study. My dream is to be a good architect who can solve problems in the society based on suitable designs of both residential and public buildings. I would like to change our environment based on designing. Through my dream job I would like to help my family members, as well as people who are in need, to success in their dreams.
INTERESTS
During my free time i like practising designing of buildings. I also use to participate in social activities with people I live with. Moreover, I use to practise some local works in order to solve some of my problems concerning with money.

My plan for the next six months is to look for job opportunities based on my field of study, and at the same time, I'm working on the possibility to be self-employed in order to afford my daily needs. Help to Help foundation has helped me with a lot of things, but in short, the foundation has improved my studying environment as well as connected me with many other people who could help me with opportunities. For now, I spread my knowledge in society so that I can use the opportunity to change the minds of the young generation about their future. I would also like to use my skills to solve some of the problems in my society.

After the first semester, I was able to do some projects in my society based on my field of study which led me to have some amount of money which helped me in my various uses. In the last semester, I also conducted a school project which I used to solve a certain problem in my society. Through ToT events I got knowledge which I can use it for many things in my after school life. The picture was taken at our university with my fellow changemakers after leaving the Help to Help workshop training of trainers.

I'm intending to keep much effort in my studies in order to success myself first. Then I will be open to help others in their studies as well as other issues concerning with their studies as well as their university lives. In the photo, I was with my fellow students after submitting our field reports. The photo was taken near TBA offices in Shinyanga region.

I conducted that activity with my friends at a primary School near our University in order to bring close all students regardless of their life status. Through community outreach I contributed on giving hope to those students from different families. We did it for our own as a group because of the system that we made for our group.

A: Juma Rashid has applied for a scholarship from Help to Help and was granted one. We have reviewed the written application and conducted a thorough interview with Juma Rashid . Q: If I donate, what happens with my donation?

A: Each semester, Help to Help pay school fees for our students. We reserve the right to only pay school fees for students who live up to the agreed terms and conditions for the scholarship which includes submitting grades in time, good academic perform and continuous communication with Help to Help among other things. The payments are done directly to each university. Once payments are done, we demand the universities to send us official receipts.

Q: Why does each student have their own fundraising profile?

A: We believe in a global "we" - our crowdfunding platform is a way for our students to express what societal issues they want to bring change to, and a way for our funders to learn and join their important causes by donating to their studies.
