BACKGROUND
My father and mother separated when I was still young. My father is a drunkard and a peasant who lives a polygamous lifestyle. My mother is a peasant too, but also works as nursery school cook where she gets some money to care for our needs. My education has been supported by my now very old and sickly paternal grandfather, together with help from the schools due to my good academic performance in class. I have a total of eight siblings, where two of them have dropped out of school.
WHY
My passion is to serve and improve quality of life through offering the best medical services, especially concerning diagnosis of diseases. I have a desire to eliminate or reduce the unprofessionalism among health workers, for example within the selling of government drugs. I have a strong will to uplift the health sector of Uganda. I want to become a professional medical laboratory scientist with the ability to provide quality patient-care and diagnosis'. I also intend to master in parasitology and to become a medical educationist to teach other students and people.
INTERESTS
I love volunteering in health camps where we work as medical personnel in services such as checkups, public health talks, and sanitation campaigns, among others. I also participate in advocating for rights and inclusive policies of Persons with Disability (PWDs) in the university and society. I also love playing piano, making friends and acting in drama plays.
