BACKGROUND
I was raised by my grandmother and excelled in primary school. I then earned a bursary to a private school where I completed O and A levels, and I am now pursuing my bachelor's degree.
WHY
Observing my grandmother's lifelong practice of often unprofitable subsistence farming in my community has been a real motivator. Community members face numerous challenges, including pests, parasites, and diseases affecting their crops and livestock, along with poor farming methods and low yields. I believe I'll be able to identify solutions to these problems and help transform agriculture in my community from subsistence to commercial farming, contributing to its overall development. Iam very passionate about my course of bachelors of science in agriculture and livelihoods at mbarara university of science and technology. Well, my dream job is not that an office job because my target as a graduate is to reach the rural communities and encouter the challenges limiting agriculture transformation in these communities. As a graduate I would be able to extend extensional services to these local members in order to successfully transform agriculture in their communities
INTERESTS
I'm personally interested in community twinning programs. In my free time, I visit different communities to learn about rural livelihoods and how people sustain themselves. I also provide guidance and counseling to young people in my community, encouraging them to become job creators, using my knowledge of livelihood approaches.
