BACKGROUND
I come from the Dodoma region. My mother and father are farmers and I have seven siblings in our family home. I come from poor life conditions where we depend on our mother only. Our mother depends on cultivation only and sometimes she does not get crops. I studied government school from standard one in primary up to form four in secondary school at Kongwa. Due to the poor life in our home, I was going to school with improper clothes and was hungry. When I finished my studies I got a chance to join Mbeya University of Science and Technology.
WHY
I choose civil engineering to (1) Have many job options and such as engineer designer. (2) Learn valuable transferable skills. These include problem-solving, decision making and analysing. (3) get a salary when I get a job. I am attracted to becoming an engineer designer and my dream job is to be an engineer designer who is able to make the own decision.
INTERESTS
I like activities that include practical, hands-on problems and solutions, and those that have to do with ideas and thinking. I like to search for facts and figure out solutions to problems mentally. I also like activities that follow a set procedure. I like to work with data and details, this is one of my interests.
