BACKGROUND
I grew up up with my grandfather. Later on, I joined my family after completion of my ordinary level of education. My family is made up of 6 kids under the care of both parents who engage in daily small business to cater for family needs. I thank God my previous education was progressing quite well since I got support from Child Aid Africa and Alliance Academy for O LEVEL and Advance Level respectively.
WHY
I choose development studies since it deals with bringing change to society in all aspects and being a victim of underdeveloped families and society this course will enable me to get the right and relevant skills and knowledge on how to fight and protect human rights, as well as empower society on gender issues so as to support young generation which is tomorrow's nation. My job dream is to be Community Development Officer, whereby through the knowledge and skills that I will obtain in development studies. I will be in a better position to bring change in society starting with he most vulnerable communities like Kuria where there are still gender issues that hinder development.
INTERESTS
I enjoy learning new skills, gaining new knowledge in order to nourish myself in various aspects like communication skills. Also, I like internal design I really enjoy arranging my room to always look nice and smart. I also involve in constructive clubs whereby I learn teamwork and leadership skills. I also volunteer to attend various events whereby I get to learn more for instance I attended 60 years of Institute of Development Studies which was held on 28th July 2022.

I would get a chance to do research to find out the reason my young people are not studying. In the picture, I was visiting many people in their homes to encourage them on ways how to live with hope and ways how to eradicate poverty. I did this through the use of skills that I obtained from my course on poverty and development.

Q: How can I trust Matinde Jomo Jane is a real student?

A: Matinde Jomo Jane has applied for a scholarship from Help to Help and was granted one. We have reviewed the written application and conducted a thorough interview with Matinde Jomo Jane . We have also double-checked the given identity with University of Dar es Salaam. We now and then also do home-visits and met with a majority of our students.

Q: If I donate, what happens with my donation?

A: Each semester, Help to Help pay school fees for our students. We reserve the right to only pay school fees for students who live up to the agreed terms and conditions for the scholarship which includes submitting grades in time, good academic perform and continuous communication with Help to Help among other things. The payments are done directly to each university. Once payments are done, we demand the universities to send us official receipts.

Q: Why does each student have their own fundraising profile?

A: We believe in a global "we" - our crowdfunding platform is a way for our students to express what societal issues they want to bring change to, and a way for our funders to learn and join their important causes by donating to their studies.
