BACKGROUND
I was born in the Rombo district which is located in Kilimanjaro region. My parents are farmers and I am the second born of five children. I studied at Kiruweni primary school after which I was taken to st James Seminary with the help from the church, and this is were I finished my secondary education. Now I am studying agricultural engineering at Sokoine university of agriculture.
WHY Engineering & Natural Science
My dream job is to become an agricultural engineer. I have chosen to pursue this dream because I know that agriculture is the backbone of our country's economy. So by becoming an agricultural engineer I will design simple machines which will help our society to perform more effectively through mechanized agriculture, which will produce enough food and raw materials to sustain our industries.
INTERESTS
Apart from studies and reading books I like playing football. Football is my favorite sports.

It has helped me a lot, since if it was not this scholarship, I would not have finished my studies with the grades I got. I am planning to do an internship while searching for job. Through the knowledge I got from the university, I will help my society to solve different problems that they are facing related to my studies. I will train farmers on how to design, construct and use greenhouses for their farming as well as the installation and use of drip irrigation system instead of depending on rainfall. I will give education on how to take care of the environment, create understanding on the effects of cutting down trees and give trainings on other ways of farming which does not depend on rain. I would like to thank the donors for their support toward my studies, I cannot pay them but what I can do is to pray for their families and friends and to keep on with that good heart.

We arranged our community outreach and visited the center with disabled children at Amani Center Morogoro. We did this purposely so as to give hope and love to those children children and reminding ourselves that we are helped so as to help others. And in that way we can create spirit of helping our societies.

I have been reflecting a lot around climatic change in relation to agriculture. With the right information, we can protect our environment by planting trees, fight against pollution. But while fighting with them we need to think the solution on agriculture, now days rainfall in unpredictable and its' of minimum amount so if we depend on rainfall to perform our agriculture activities, otherwise we will die with hunger. My plans is to organize training to the youth interested in agriculture about the use of different irrigation systems and how to install them so that many people in our country can shift from farming depending on rainfall to irrigation faming.
