BACKGROUND
My parents are small-scale farmers, growing crops like maize and beans. I grew up in an extended family with eight siblings, and I'm the first to attend university. My siblings have had to pause their education to support me.
WHY
I want to gain technical knowledge in agriculture so I can give back to my community by improving farming practices, making them more profitable and sustainable. To be an agricultural extension worker and pass on knowledge of sustainable agricultural practices for people to shift to improved agricultural systems as well as encouraging the young generation to do agriculture as a career not as punishment.
INTERESTS
I enjoy participating in community outreach programs like clean-up events, tree planting, and charity work. I'm also actively involved in sports, music, dance, and drama.
