BACKGROUND
I grew up in an extended family consisting of my father, mother, aunt, my 5 siblings and cousins. We live in a rented house in the Kasokoso village, Iganga district. My father sells matooke at the market, and my mother sells groceries. My aunt is disabled, so she stays at home with us. I studied in public schools both my primary and secondary level.
WHY
I love medicine and improving people's health. I was inspired by my uncle who is a pharmacist, and I would love to treat and give the necessary care to my disabled aunt someday. Through nursing, I will be able to prevent diseases by educating the community and also care for the sick, so that their health improves. My dream is to become a joyful and caring nurse that one would love to have when sick. I would love to educate and empower my community with knowledge about their health.
INTERESTS
I like helping my mother with house chores, and taking care of my siblings and cousins since I am the elder sibling. I also love adventures, watching television, hanging out with friends and playing netball.
