BACKGROUND
I grew up in a family of eight children, with me being the first born. It was always fun taking care of my young siblings. We would always wake up early in the morning, go to the garden and then come back at 1 pm to prepare food for the family. My parents are farmers, so we would have enough sweet potatoes to eat since it was the main crop that we planted. In my previous schools, I had to leave school during the course of the term due to late payments, but I got to meet friends who helped me chose the right career path, which I am now happily pursuing.
WHY
Honestly I was always thinking about doing land valuation, but I was guided by an elder that land surveying would be better than land valuation. I would like to have my own surveying firm, where I can be able to employ others and be able to improve their skills in the surveying profession.
INTERESTS
I like cooking, and I am always the one cooking at home. I also like swimming, though I am not a very good swimmer. And, I like reading novels, though these days I rarely do since the my studies are very demanding.

I didn’t conduct any community outreach program this semester, this is because of the Covid-19 pandemic which hindered socializing. The semesters have been cut short since we spent most of the time at home so we are still catching up with the lost time. Here I was in doing my internship carrying out a fresh survey of land for in a village called Naama. Then I was sitting down relaxing.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Q: How can I trust Nancy Komugisha is a real student?

A: Nancy Komugisha has applied for a scholarship from Help to Help and was granted one. We have reviewed the written application and conducted a thorough interview with Nancy Komugisha . We have also double-checked the given identity with Kyambogo University. We now and then also do home-visits and met with a majority of our students.

Q: If I donate, what happens with my donation?

A: Each semester, Help to Help pay school fees for our students. We reserve the right to only pay school fees for students who live up to the agreed terms and conditions for the scholarship which includes submitting grades in time, good academic perform and continuous communication with Help to Help among other things. The payments are done directly to each university. Once payments are done, we demand the universities to send us official receipts.

Q: Why does each student have their own fundraising profile?

A: We believe in a global "we" - our crowdfunding platform is a way for our students to express what societal issues they want to bring change to, and a way for our funders to learn and join their important causes by donating to their studies.
