BACKGROUND
Neema was the very first Help to Help student to graduate from university with help from Help to Help. She was born in 1990 and grew up in Mbeya with her parents, her sister Rehema and her brother Emanuel. Her father abandoned the family when Neema was thirteen leaving Neema’s mother in a very though financial situation. The family was since then dependant on Neema’s mother’s income from selling clothes at the side of the road in Mbeya. To help her mother Neema worked extra as a tutor for younger secondary school students. In October 2010 Neema got accepted to a Bachelor of Business Administration at St. Augustine University in Mwanza in northwest Tanzania. She studied hard and gained excellent results proving she truly practice what she preaches as her life motto says, If better is possible, good is not enough. Neema worked hard to gain experience in different fields during her university holidays. During the summer of 2011 she worked at the procurement and accounting department for a company called Mbeya Medical Research Programme. The following year she worked with marketing for SIDO, Small Industries Development Organization. Neema expressed a wish to start up her own business selling beauty products. As the Help to Help team members in Sweden had contact with Oriflame Tanzania the two were connected and Neema became an Oriflame sales consultant. After finishing her studies in June 2013 Neema started working in marketing for the international company Blisschem. She is today self-supporting and plans to save money in order to move into her own place with her boyfriend in the future.
