BACKGROUND
My parents divorced when l was in primary six, so l have lived a long period of time with my mother, because my father remarried and moved away from home. My mother is a farmer who would plant crops for home consumption and for small sales, though now she no longer does farming because she has diabetes. Throughout my education, I have been supported by my mother and her relatives. My father is a camera man who works at small parties in the village, but he doesn't support my family at all. It is only my elder brother who does farming and takes care of all other siblings, though he cannot afford paying their school fees, so he just provides them with food and clothes. So far, I have been staying with my uncle in Mbarara town, because his place is near the university. l walk every morning to the university and walk back in the evening. During holidays, l go back to the village and help my brothers in the garden, and I take care of my young siblings.
MY CHOICE OF STUDIES
I chose physiotherapy because it is the only profession that provides rehabilitation to disabled people, thereby improving their quality of life. I saw many people around our area with severe disabilities, making them dependant on their relatives in their daily life activities. This pushed me to study a course that can provide me with skills and knowledge to help those people. My dream job is working with NGO, which provides rehabilitation to disabled children.
INTERESTS
My hobbies are attending church services such as praise and worship, to do outreaches in the community, listen to music, and playing with kids.
