BACKGROUND
I'm from a family of seven. My mother, a single parent and primary school teacher, works hard to provide for us. Despite financial challenges, she emphasized education. We rely on agriculture for food and income. I'm the first in my family to pursue higher education
WHY
I chose to study agriculture because I'm passionate about sustainable food production, environmental conservation, and community development. Growing up in a rural area, I witnessed the challenges farmers face firsthand, including soil degradation, water scarcity, and limited market access. These experiences sparked my interest in agriculture and motivated me to pursue a career that combines my love for the environment and my commitment to food security. My dream job is to be an agronomist, specializing in sustainable crop production and land management . I envision myself working with farmers, researchers and policymakers to develop and implement environmentally friendly farming practices. In this role, I would conduct soil tests, analyze crop yields and advise farmers on optimal irrigation and fertilization methods. I aim to make a meaningful impact by reducing the environmental footprint of agriculture and promoting food security.
INTERESTS
In my free time, I enjoy doing research related to my field of study to expand my knowledge. I also run a small business to earn some extra money. Contributing to my community is important to me, so I participate in clean-up and other environmental projects.
