BACKGROUND
I come from a family of 10 members with both parents alive. I have 7 siblings living happily in one homestead. My parents are both self employed with my mom selling agricultural products and my dad selling charcoal. I grew up at home under maximum supervision and care of both parents. This has impacted discipline in all of us. I studied my primary and secondary level in a UPE school under a sports bursary and passed with good grades.
WHY Medicine & Health
I was mostly influenced by community members who were affected by mental disturbances. This made me passionate to become knowledgeable and obtain skills of managing mental illnesses. I want to help people maintain good mental health to create more awareness in the field. I would like to be a psychiatrist with an emphasis on post traumatic and childhood causes of mental illness specializing in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy rather than Pharmacotherapy.
INTERESTS
Am interested in playing and watching football. I also enjoy watching Korean TV series.
