BACKGROUND

My family lives in Bupandwa ward, in Sengerema district, in the Mwanza region. We are a family of four children living together with our mother. My mother is a small scale farmer, dealing with small scale crops agriculture. I started my primary school education in 2006 at Bupandwamhela primary school, which I completed in 2012, and I then joined my ordinary level school at St. Carol secondary school in 2013, and completed in 2016.

It is my passion to be a biomedical engineer, and through my research I have realized that the country lacks enough biomedical engineer professionals. I will be able to reduce the cost for the government when buying new equipments, since the equipments can be repaired and work more effectively. The creation of different equipments designs can be a self-employment opportunity for me, by selling them either to the government or private sectors. After completing my studies, in my career, I'd like to be a director in the Tanzania Medical and Drugs Authority (TMDA). I'd like to work with maintenance of instruments which do not operate well, in order to make them operate more efficiently and bring accurate results. I want to design different equipments in the hospital, for example MRI, Ultrasound, or X-ray machines. I also want to advise the government for the equipments to be ordered for better result outcomes, since there are a lot of companies producing such equipments.

INTERESTS

Besides my studies I like doing general physical exercise during the evening time, like jogging, push ups, and playing football. I like to interact with others in the community in activities such as general environment cleanliness, or participating in the community meetings. I also like to read different literatures to gain knowledge, especially concerning the experience of different aspects of life. I also like listening to music.
