BACKGROUND
I’m the second born of a family of 8 siblings with two girls and six boys. We grew up in a small village in the Ntungamo District in a three bedroom house. As the second born, I had lots of challenges growing up and helping my siblings grow. I attended my Primary Education from Kako Primary School, that was 3Km away from our Parent’s home. Somehow, I had challenges trying to fit in a society that was occupied by well to do families and kids. My father was an Assistant Nurse and my mother was a House wife. My secondary School was a bit easier as I attended most of it by Academic Scholarships.
WHY Medicine & Health
I have always loved Medicine. This dates way back when my dad was an Assistant Nurse. Many people came to our home to seek treatment. I always saw them heal, it looked like magic to me. He inspired me. I wanted to grow up and be like him. I can actually help people live a better, wealthier and healthy life. “Health is wealth.” People can increase their productivity if they are healthier. I love to help people stay healthy. As a medical student, I would love to grow and help my profession have better codes of conduct. I want to be among the leaders of the Uganda Medical Association, an umbrella that unites all Doctors in Uganda. I also want to engage the Government to improve the working conditions of Doctors.
INTERESTS
I love playing football in my free time. Before I started my third year of Medical School, I was on the University Football team. I also love travelling.
