BACKGROUND
My Name is Samson T Mayila. I belong to a single parent family which consists of a mother and seven children; four boys and three girls. We are small peasants in the Kwimba district-Mwanza.
WHY
I chose this field of study since there are so many mines in Tanzania, but we lack enough educated mining engineers that can extract these minerals, rather than the small scale miners and foreigners that do this today. My dream jon is to become a good mining engineer in Tanzania and worldwide, where I can help the community.
INTERESTS
My interests beside my studies are playing football, listening to music, worshiping and doing different jobs that earn me some money.

Last semester, we conducted a community outreach activity where we visit the disability children. Equal participation is the key matter to everyone regardless of their disability. In the photo, I was at Mbeya University of Science and Technology, waiting for project presentation with my classmates.

Here in this photo I was at Geita mineral innovation day with my fellow students during our field practice leaning different issues concerned with mining operations. This semester I want to be perfect in Safety practice in mine and civil works. On doing so I will attend the OSHA training that will be conducted at our University this semester.
