BACKGROUND
I am Tariq Aziz alias Taxpayer, the first born in a family of three children, As a young boy I faced a lot of obstacles some of which have scarred me up to this day. But they are forever scars that are evidence to prove to everyone that I survived. And to tell you the truth I am still surviving up to now, still struggling to reach to the peak of success! I lost my beloved mother when I was nine years old. She had been suffering from HIV/AIDS and was leaving me and my two siblings with no hope. My brother went to live with our grandmother, my sister got adopted and I went to live with my loving aunt. The family was separated and I felt that life had been quite brutal on me. However, as time went on life found its way to show and teach me the principle of “adapting to survive”. It was through associating with the right people I became the man I am today - confident, responsible, ambitious and influential. You see I preferred spending my teenage years learning things that would benefit to me and my society, starting with involving myself in HIV/AIDS combating forums. I also joined movements fighting against corruption and clubs advocating for environmental conservation. I spent time learning general life skills which would enable me to survive anywhere in the world! I believe that it is through education and a true will from everyone that we can make this world a better place. Say for example Getting to zero in Africa which means zero new HIV infections, zero stigma, and finally total eradication of the disease – we need to work together to reach there. My big dream is to become an entrepreneur who will produce opportunities for and empower the youth in my country by equipping them with the right, necessary skills for being successful in life.
WHY Medicine & Health
I believe in entrepreneurship and creating equal and fair opportunities for others. My dream job is to create chances for others to make their dreams come true. I love teaching and leading people into the right path.
INTERESTS
I like doing fun stuff when I'm free, for instance I take thirty minutes daily to work out. I take time to hang out with my buddies, listen to music and sometimes watch a little bit of television. My favourite TV stations are Discovery Channel and CNN. I also spend time browsing in social networks but honestly, the best time is the time I spend with my girlfriend. I really love her, I have to admit.
