BACKGROUND
I am the first born and we are 11 members in my family. I am a first born from that family, but now we are step adopted family because my father has another wife. Since my mother and father separated i got support from my mother who live at village and engages in farming activities. However, now my mother is sick, she is infected with HIV, so it is difficult for her to work now and therefore difficult for me to get school fees. For some time I worked extra as a teacher in a college in Tukuyu. The big challenge to me now is how to get school fees and to pay it in order to continue with studies at university level. Now that I am studying I am living at a hostel near the university with 7 other students in the same room. I am trying to earn some extra money by selling telephone vouchesr, buying and selling clothes and by engaging in agriculture activities. I have always been counseling people, my friends, family and people I meet about various problems. Nowadays, I try to counsel new students that come to the hostel by telling them how university works. In that way I help the younger students and I really enjoy that. In the future I would like to work for the government, for a company or is possible be self-employed. I could counsel people with family issues, on family planning and counsel people with HIV.
