BACKGROUND
My father and my mother are divorced, so I've been living with my mother since I was born. I have two sisters and one brother of that share the same mother, and three other siblings which I share the same father with. Both my parents are peasants, and they own some cattle and small farms, where they cultivate maize, only for food. I have been awarded with an O Level certificate and advanced certificate, in my secondary education at Kishumundu secondary and Bagamoyo high school, where I passed on well in my studies. Now, I am pursuing a diploma in medical laboratory as a laboratory technologist at the University of Dodoma. All my education levels have been sponsored by my O level teacher thanks to my good performance. But now, it's hard for him to pay for me, as he is retired and also has other relatives to account for.
WHY
I chose my field of study so that together with other scientists, we can come up with better ways of treating patients. I also chose this field so that I can save my community and other people around the world by screening their bodies, diagnosing diseases and coming up with solutions to cure them. Also, through this field of study, I can inspire the coming generation to join health education teams, so that we together can build a large team to save the community on various healthy concerns. My dream job is all about working in the laboratory and finding solutions to patients health problems. This is accomplished by taking samples from patients, and such samples includes stool, urine or blood, and then observing them on microscope level to see if there are parasites or bacteria, and then sending the observation to the doctor so that proper use of dosage can be advised to patients. This job also involves taking the sample from patients, screening these samples and diagnosing them so as to find a better way to eradicate the cause of the disease and finally give out the cure.
INTERESTS
After my class hours, I enjoy watching movies - especially drama. I also enjoy practising body exercise, reading novels and listening to music. Sometimes I go to visit my friends and we share different ideas about life. I am not only interested in listening music, but also in dancing and singing in choir.

I am planning to volunteer at Benjamin Mkapa Hospital located at our college, this will help to increase my ability to do more laboratory tests and become competent, and it becomes easy for me to get employed either in that hospital or any other. In the photo, I was at Kilimanjaro Christian medical center during my field practice.

We conducted a community outreach at Ng'ong'ona primary school, where we provided education to the young girls on the importance of maintaining good health during puberty. We also discussed the different challenges they face which made them not attend class sessions. We had sports with them and thereafter we gave them learning materials like pencils, pen, and exercise books. In the photo, we were heading to our hostels after laboratory session where we learnt culturing of microorganisms such as bacteria, their treatment and their prevention.
